About Employment Works

We are a South Australian owned and operated employment support provider, proudly dedicated to helping participants overcome non-vocational barriers to employment and re-enter the workforce with confidence. Our qualified social workers specialise in delivering evidence-based tailored, 1:1 support focused on building job readiness, enhancing skills, and addressing personal or social challenges.

In addition to individual support, we offer structured group programs that build practical skills and foster motivation, confidence, and connection among participants, as well as post-placement support services to ensure long term success in the workplace. Services we provide

Employment Works supports a diverse range of participants, including individuals who are very long-term unemployed, young people, ex-offenders, single parents, mature-age job seekers, people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, and those experiencing homelessness, as well as others facing barriers to employment.

We deliver a range of evidence-based individual and group programs designed to build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to secure and maintain meaningful employment.

We are a proudly South Australian owned and operated company, delivering services across all metropolitan Adelaide areas. We also provide support to regional communities throughout South Australia, including Mount Gambier, Port Lincoln, Port Augusta, Whyalla, the Barossa Valley, Clare, and Kangaroo Island.

Our Social Workers support participants to overcome non-vocational barriers that may impact their ability to find and maintain employment. These barriers can include housing instability, mental health concerns, financial stress, addictions, family violence or responsibilities, social isolation and much more.

They provide personalised, evidence-based support tailored to each participant’s unique circumstances. This typically includes:

  1. Addressing barriers to employment Identifying and working through challenges that may be preventing someone from engaging in work.

  2. Providing emotional and psychological support Building confidence, resilience, and motivation, particularly for those who have experienced long-term unemployment.

  3. Individual planning and support Working one-on-one to identify the non-vocational barrier, set goals and create practical, achievable steps toward removing the barrier to achieve employment outcomes.

  4. Connecting to services Linking participants with appropriate supports such as housing, health, financial, or community services.

  5. Building life and employability skills Supporting the development of communication, routine, and problem-solving skills.

  6. Advocacy and practical support Assisting with real-world challenges such as transport, daily structure, and navigating services.

Individual Support Services

Tailored 1:1 support to help your participants move into sustainable employment.

  • Personalised sessions – Face-to-face (preferred) or online, designed around each participant’s unique needs and goals

  • Expert Social Worker guidance – Identify and overcome non-vocational barriers affecting job readiness

  • Proven outcomes – Build confidence, practical skills, and sustainable pathways into work

  • Flexible delivery – Six sessions, adaptable to your agency’s schedule and participant requirements

  • Collaborative support – Integrated with your Employment Consultants and allied health professionals, with clear reporting

Program Details

  • What: Individual 1:1 sessions

  • Where: Onsite at your location (online available if required)

  • Duration: 1.5 hours for the first session, 1 hour for subsequent sessions

  • Frequency: Weekly for 6 weeks (flexible to fit agency requirements)

We provide quick, individual check-ins, collaborate closely with Employment Consultants and employers, reinforce workplace skills, and offer practical strategies to ensure long-term success.
